We are looking for a highly motivated Part Time Quality Technician to be responsible for providing services that assure quality and correctness of products, procedures, testing and product information. Assuring quality is built into the manufacturing, labeling, and testing processes, assisting in implementing necessary policies to be cGMP, enforcing cGMP, HACCP and other company policies, and assisting the quality department’s functions. This position requires the ability to research components and to present research to the appropriate people. The person in this position must be able to proofread effectively, may be involved in product development and getting new HACCP Certification.

I. Major Duties included but not limited to:

a. Inspect incoming ingredients for quality.

b. Review cleaning techniques and log discrepancies.

c. Prepare samples for lab testing.

d. Assist in writing and implementing quality processes.

e. Enforce policies that affect the quality of products.

f. Perform in-process quality checks.

g. Maintain appropriate documentation of the quality checks and appropriate logbooks.

h. Approve final products for release.

i. Issue and re-file labels.

j. Implement and enforce GMP Regulations

k. Assist in writing or reviewing SOP’s.

l. Perform lab testing, as required.

m. Prepare or review Certificates of Analysis

n. Adhere to all safety and regulatory procedures.

o. Other duties as may be required.

I. Minimum Qualifications:

a. High School Diploma or equivalent.

i. Microbiology, Chemistry, or Biochemistry knowledge preferred

ii. Experience with HACCP, or food safety, preferred.

b. One or more years of experience or training.

c. Any equivalent combinations of education and experience.

I. Special Qualifications:

a. Must have a high level of interpersonal skills. Must be able to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization.

b. Work required continual attention to detail in composing, typing and proofing materials.

c. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demand.

a. Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

b. Microsoft Outlook

c. Microsoft 365 Online

d. Fishbowl

II. Physical Demands:

a. Ability to lift 25–50-pound boxes preferred.

b. Sit or stand, as necessary.

III. Work Environment:
